Stop Relying on Willpower (It’s Not Reliable Anyway)

We’ve all been there, haven't we? January 1st feels like the perfect time for a "new you." But by January 15th, life gets busy, the kids are home sick, or work piles up, and that big resolution starts to feel like just another chore on your to-do list.

If you’re feeling that "all-or-nothing" pressure creeping in, I want you to take a deep breath. The problem isn’t your willpower; it’s your system. You don’t need more pressure; you just need a doable way to start.

From Big Goal to Micro-Move

In my last post, we talked about habit stacking, the art of attaching a new move to something you’re already doing. But how do you actually break a giant resolution down into something that small?

Take one of my goals for this year: to improve my mobility. If I just wrote "Work on mobility" on my to-do list, I’d probably never do it. It’s too big. Instead, I used my Habit Roadmap (I’ll show you my messy handwritten version below!) to create a Micro-Move.

My Roadmap Looks Like This:

  • The Anchor: Brewing my morning coffee.

  • The Micro-Move: 8 cat/cows and 30 seconds of hip openers.

  • The Result: By the time the coffee smells amazing, I’ve already nourished my spine.

The Habit Roadmap

Here is my handwritten version of the habit roadmap. It doesn’t have to be perfect to be life-changing!

Your Secret Weapon: The Habit Roadmap

I want to help you do the exact same thing. I’m inviting you to join my free 14-day New Year’s Challenge starting January 12th!

Put it in Writing

Planning out your Habit helps solidify your intentions and identify your habit stack

The moment you join, I’ll send you the digital version of my Habit Roadmap PDF. This isn’t a generic "to-do" list. It’s the same strategic worksheet I used to map out my mobility routine. It helps you find your "Anchor," define your "Micro-Move," and—most importantly—plan for those "crazy-busy days" so you never feel like you’ve failed.

Momentum, Not Just Relief

Here’s the best part: This isn't a challenge you'll be glad is "over" on day 15. My goal is that by the end of our 14 days together, you won’t feel a sense of relief that the work is done, you’ll feel a surge of momentum. You’ll have a realistic routine that actually fits your life and the quiet confidence that says, "Oh, I can actually do this."

We aren't just crossing off days; we are building the foundation for a stronger, healthier future you.

The challenge starts January 12, 2026. Sign up today to receive your PDF Roadmap!
